The Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) has ordered that the City of Toronto make significant amendments to its St. Lawrence Heritage Conservation District Plan on the grounds that the plan was overly prescriptive and failed to reflect the dynamic history of the area.
Issued on July 27, the LPAT decision followed a 14-day hearing that saw nine appellants contend, through expert witness testimony, that the Plan was misguided and conflicts with existing city policies.
