A section of Yonge Street in North York may soon be transformed into a vibrant, pedestrian-oriented mainstreet, but disagreement remains about the design of the road. Hesitant to approve a recommended lane reduction in the spring, council asked staff to explore alternatives. Seven months later, staff continues to recommend introducing cycle tracks and reducing car lanes.
