A recommended design concept for the reconstruction of downtown Yonge Street that is emerging through an environmental assessment proposes the prioritization of pedestrian traffic on downtown Yonge by widening existing sidewalks and restricting vehicular traffic. But the local business improvement area association argues that the design concept being put forward fails to reflect the feedback provided by the local business community.
