The City of Toronto has proposed a draft planning framework establishing a city-wide approach for development of sensitive and high-occupancy land uses in proximity to rail infrastructure. The city says the draft official plan and zoning by-law amendments would provide certainty and clarity around requirements and expectations for development applications on lands adjacent to rail infrastructure.
