Prolific municipal lawyer and public service luminary Alan Heisey has advised Toronto city council that he will be stepping down from the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Board effective November 1. Citing the exigencies of COVID-19 and a desire to focus his time and energy on his law practice and family, Heisey ends an eight-year stretch on the TTC Board, leaving an indelible impact on the third-largest transit system in North America.
