City Planning’s final urban design guidelines, Growing Up, Planning for Children in New Vertical Communities, were adopted by planning and housing committee on Monday, and are headed to city council for final approval at the end of July.
With 94 per cent of all new residential units in Toronto contained in mid-rise and tall buildings, increasing numbers of families are living in vertical communities.
