A developer is seeking to add a significant number of rental units to the housing market in Richmond Hill through a proposal to develop of a two-tower purpose-built rental apartment building on a largely vacant site in the city’s Yongehurst neighbourhood. If approved, the development would help the city towards its goal of diversifying the types of housing currently available to residents and could add help provide a stepping stone for tenants seeking more permanent forms of housing in Richmond Hill in the future.
