Two weeks after the province introduced its preferred route for a new 400-series highway across the GTA, a report issued by Environmental Defence, Sustainable Vaughan, and Transport Action Ontario throws the sustainability of the multibillion dollar project into question.
Earlier this month, the province advanced plans for the GTA West Corridor, a proposed four-to-six lane highway meandering through York, Peel, and Halton Regions from Highway 400 in the east to the Highway 401/407 ETR interchange in the west.
