The former site of a Stoney Creek truck stop is proposed to be transformed into a mixed-use transit-adjacent, mid-rise residential development in a proposal that would bring housing, daycare and work-live uses to a previously predominantly commercial area. The proposal reflects a recent local trend towards urban residential multi-storey redevelopment in the heavily suburban commercial and single-detached dwelling area of Hamilton.
