The Town of Newmarket is looking to control the size and scale of new development within its established neighbourhoods and to direct growth to its major corridors.

At its meeting November 2, Newmarket council adopted the established neighbourhoods compatibility study, which includes an official plan amendment (OPA) and zoning by-law (ZBL) directing how development can occur within the town’s established neighbourhoods.
