Moderate development will once again be permitted in the historic urban area of Niagara-on-the-Lake after an interim control by-law was repealed at council last week.
At its meeting June 22, Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake council voted to repeal an interim control by-law (ICBL) which had halted development within the urban area of its Old Town while new planning policies were being prepared to define the types of development acceptable for the area and to protect existing heritage buildings.
