LIMITING GROWTH DOWNTOWN

The City of Burlington is looking to have the John Street Bus Terminal no longer be considered a major transit station area or a mobility hub in an effort to limit growth in its downtown.
Downtown Burlington has seen significant intensification over the past several years, which has led to pushback from local residents, planning staff, and politicians who are concerned about overdevelopment and loss of the historic downtown feel of the area.
