Eager to build a residential subdivision on protected whitebelt lands, a GTA-based developer has applied to the provincial government for a ministerial zoning order that would permit development on lands located outside a town’s settlement area boundary.
FLATO Developments is proposing to develop an age-friendly residential housing development on 11.9 hectares of land, west of Highway 48 and north of the Whitchurch-Stouffville and Markham municipal boundary.
