In 1989, Planning and Development Hotline and Toronto Land Use Report were purchased by Hemson Consulting Ltd. and renamed The Hemson Planning & Development Report and The Hemson Toronto Land Use Report.
Precipitated by the amalgamation of Toronto’s seven municipalities in 1998, The Hemson Toronto Land Use Report was renamed Toronto Planning & Development Report to cover the ‘new’ City of Toronto’s Urban Environment & Development Committee as well as the city’s (new) six community councils. At the same time, The Hemson Toronto Land Use Report was renamed The Regional Planning & Development Report to provide expanded coverage of planning and development activity in the 905 region.
