After years of comprehensive secondary planning, North York District is now reaping the rewards in the form of growth and development.

“North York District has a tradition of putting together comprehensive plans and secondary plans for growth areas in various parts of the district, usually close to transit infrastructure,” North York District community planning director Joe Nanos told NRU. “So over the last 10, 20 years there’s been a number of new secondary plans that have put in place. And right now, we’re bearing the fruit of those comprehensive plans and we’re implementing a lot of the development that was anticipated in these areas and corridors.”
