A 38-storey proposal in Mississauga’s Cooksville neighbour-hood may signal the start of a revitalization trend linked to pending transit investment.

“I’ve said this before, and people think I’m not serious but I’m deadly serious. In 20 or 30 years, this will become a cross between Bloor West and Yorkville,” said Ward 7 councillor Nando Iannicca. “No question, because there’s people here, and transit infrastructure, and more to come with the LRT that I’m sure will soon receive Royal Assent [from the Ontario legislature]. The area is going to undergo tremendous transformation.”
