According to a new report, the Finch LRT line will have a serious impact on the employment base in northern Etobicoke and should be partially buried. Metrolinx says that option is not on the table.

On June 3, the Emery Village BIA presented a report by Cole Engineering Group Ltd. to a crowd of about a hundred residents at St. Basil the Great Catholic School in Etobicoke. The report recommends that any LRT along Finch be buried for a two-km stretch between the CPR bridge, which passes over Finch as part of Highway 400, and just east of Weston Road.
